Established in 1967, The Center for Research and Communication (CRC) of the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) is a private voluntary organization with core operations in social research, education, economics, management and communication. Founded by Dr. Jesus Estanislao and Dr. Bernardo Villegas, CRC is known to be at the forefront of research on overseas migration.
Working Overseas: Diaspora that Sustains the Nation is a book published by CRC that provides a very comprehensive view of concerns on overseas migration from the Philippines such as recruitment, deployment, skills training, worker protection, wage and compensation, social protection, re-integration and entrepreneurship. It consists primarily of research papers, speeches, conference proceedings and abstracts of student thesus concerning OFWs.
