Established in 2003 and 2004 respectively, KAMPI and Kabalikat ng OFW, are non-stock, non-government organizations commited to promote the well being and interests of the Overseas Filipino Worker and their families through its welfare assistance programs and services. KAMPI and Kabalikat ng OFW staged its first ever Valentine’s Day Card-Making Contest on February 9, 2013 at the OWWA Multi-purpose Hall, with the theme: “Malayo ka man at wala sa tabi ko, mahal kita kasi mahal mo ako”. The event, aptly dubbed “Mula sa Puso, Laging Nasa Puso, is a tribute to our OFWs who work hard in foreign countries in order to give their families a better life.
The contest was divided into two (2) categories: Children (ages 7-12) and Teens (ageds 13-17). Prizes, both in cash and in kind were given away to both the contestants and attendees. Board of Judges included Bansan Choa (Chairman and CEO of I-Remit), Hon. Roberto Mayorga (Chile Ambassador to the Philippines), Ralph Cadiz (SVP of Sterling Bank of Asia), Elaine Go (VP-Public Relations and Information Group of Pag-IBIG), Tisha Quinitio (International Campaigns Manager of SMART Communications), and Zandro Almendrala (Family Welfare Officer of OWWA)
