I-Remit strengthens campaign to support children`s education

I-Remit, Incorporated (I-Remit), the country`s largest non-bank, Filipino owned remittance company is strengthening its campaign to raise social awareness, generate public support and mobilize resources for children`s education in the Philippines. Having an alliance with Synergeia Foundation for its drive, I-Remit raised funds totaling to P 516,540, through its corporate social responsibility campaign, for P. Guevara Elementary School in Tondo, Manila. The fund-raising activity aims to support the reading proficiency program for grade one students. I-Remit president and chief operating officer Harris Jacildo (extreme right) led the check turnover last June 9, 2009, at the SGV I building with Washington SyCip (second from left), founder of SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV & Co.), who received the amount in behalf of Synergeia Foundation. Photo also shows I-Remit vice-president for corporate affairs and information Fitz Duba (from left), I-Remit senior vice-president for service and operations Bess Yao, and Synergeia Foundation program officer Chingkel Juan.
