I-Remit Chairman and CEO Bansan Choa joins President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo in her quest to invite Filipinos working in Europe to invest in the Philippines during the PSE Roadshow in Europe 2007 last December 1 to 9, 2007. The roadshow was conducted by the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) for the Filipinos in Europe in time for the President’s state visits.
Among the topics presented are Monetary, External and Banking Sectors by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor Amando M. Tetengco, Jr; Fiscal Sector by Secretary Gary Teves of Department of Finance; Real Sector by Deputy Director-General Margarita R. Songco of National Economic and Development Authority; and the Opportunities for Partnership with United Kingdom by Secretary Peter Favila of Department of Trade and Industry.
Included in the roadshow are series of seminars for the Philippine communities in Madrid, London and Milan. Mr. Choa thanked the Filipinos for their remittances that had fueled the economy. He also presented I-Remit’s products and services which are beneficial to Filipino workers abroad.
The PSE roadshow presented the benefits of investing in the Philippines, particularly in the stock market which is one of the best performing in the world today. Among the grounds why one has to invest in the Philippines are economic growth, interest rates, and the bullish stock market.
